Seven Ford Team Members Honored by Society of Women Engineers

Every year, the Society of Women Engineers honors the significant contributions to the STEM community made by women working in engineering across the globe. Seven Ford team members were recognized at the WE22 conference held in Houston TX in late October, where Ford-SWE members were busy recruiting talent for Ford. In addition to the individual winners, the Ford-SWE group was awarded the 2022 Silver Professional SWE Mission Award in recognition of its embodiment of the SWE core values and demonstration of continuous improvement toward the Society’s strategic goals.

Individual winners Include:

  • Emerging Leader Award: Pramita Mitra, Ph.D., Supervisor - Exterior and Blockchain Applications
  • The Emerging Leader Award honors an individual who identifies as a woman, who has been actively engaged in the fields of engineering or engineering technology and has demonstrated significant professional leadership accomplishments. A maximum of ten (10) awards will be given annually.SWE Distinguished New Engineer Award: Molli Andor, Lead Powertrain Manufacturing Engineer – Engine Assembly

This award honors a SWE member who has demonstrated outstanding technical performance, as well as leadership in SWE, professional organizations including but not limited to SWE’s partner organizations, and the community, in the first ten (10) years of their career. A maximum of ten (10) awards will be given annually.

  • Patent Recognition Award: 
  • This award honors SWE members who have been awarded a patent within the previous three years from December 31st of the preceding year of the application.
  •  
    • Mitali Chakrabarti, Ph.D., Technical Specialist and Supervisor - Vehicle Thermal Systems, 3 Patents
    • Zhenyan Gao, Ph.D., Supervisor - CAE Methods & Virtual Tools, Vehicle Structure & Safety Research Department, 6 Patents
    • Jayanthi Rao, Ph.D., Adv. Connectivity Technology Supervisor, Intelligent Digital and Top Hat Systems (IDTS), 7 Patents
    • Danielle Rosenblatt, ADAS Feature Development Engineer, 7 Patents
    • Gabrielle Vuylsteke, Battery Management and Modeling Research Engineer, 1 Patent
