MADRID, Spain – With all-wheel-drive capability, Ford’s Explorer and the Mustang Mach-E Rally are tailor-made for snowy driving conditions, and where better to demonstrate this than in the stunning Pyrenean mountains of Spain.
Ford last week invited 20 of Spain’s top content creators to find out just how capable the vehicles are, hosting an adventure-filled winter driving experience at the famous Astún ski resort where they were welcomed by Ford ambassadors Aymar Navarro, one of the most famous extreme skiers in the world, and Ona Carbonell who is an Olympic and World Championship medal-winning synchronised swimmer.
Offering 40 km of slopes and terrain, Astún is among the 10 largest ski resorts in Spain, and it proved the perfect location for a Winter Drive Experience.
Over the course of four days, the invitees drove both vehicles on a selection of exhilarating roads. They also got to experience Mach-E’s BlueCruise hands-free driver assistance system that recently received a prestigious “Technological Advancement” honour at the El Mundo 2024 Motor Awards in Spain.
“Both the Ford Explorer and Mustang Mach-E Rally are 100 per cent electric vehicles designed for the most adventurous spirits, and this event gave our guests the opportunity to drive them in some really challenging conditions in perfect winter conditions” explains Antonio Chicote, communications manager of Ford Spain and Portugal.
“Both models stand out for their great range and performance and offer an optimal driving experience both in the city and on gravel, dirt or snow routes, as our guests were able to see for themselves.”
