MADRID, Spain - Ona Carbonell, Olympic medallist in artistic swimming and Spanish sporting icon, has joined Ford as an ambassador for BlueCruise - Ford’s pioneering hands-free driver assistance system.
“As an athlete, I have always relied on innovation and technology to enhance my performance,” she said. “With Ford BlueCruise, I find that same confidence on the road. It's a safe, intuitive system that allows me to enjoy the journey more.”
Ona participated in three Olympic Games between 2012 and 2020, winning Silver and Bronze medals at London 2012. She also won 23 medals at the World Swimming Championships between 2007 and 2019, and 12 medals in the European Swimming Championships between 2008 and 2021. In 2022, she was included in the BBC's 100 Women list.
Ford BlueCruise is the first hands-off, eyes-on-the-road driving technology approved for use in Spain. Available on Mustang Mach-E, it maintains speed, safety distance and lane position in Blue Zones which cover more than 90 per cent of Spain’s national freeways and dual carriageways.
