DUBLIN, Ireland – Ford’s all-electric Capri has been grabbing headlines in Ireland following a super successful media drive event on the Emerald Isle.

Almost 30 of Ireland’s top journalists and media got to the put the car through its paces in and around Dublin last week, generating a potential reach on social media of more than 3 million viewers.

Brian Lyng, from Ford agency partner Harris PR, told @Ford: “The verbal feedback was resoundingly positive. Attendees remarked on the quality of the drive and how eye-catching the yellow vehicle is, particularly as a launch colour. For media it was ideal for content capture resulting in strong assets across both social and in press coverage.”

He added: “Off the back of the event we’ve already seen very positive reviews. Media outreach is ongoing, so we expect to see further results as test drives take place.”

Below is a snippet of the coverage to-date.

Irish Daily Mirror: “We were impressed at its handling and rapid acceleration, particularly in sport mode, while the interior is some of the best Ford has put out in ages with loads of clever nooks and crannies for storage and some seriously up-to-date tech to boot.”

Irish Independent: “Euro for euro, this coupe SUV is a fine offering and should do very well.”

Done Deal Motors: “It is an attractive, very comfortable well-equipped SUV.”

Nevo EV Review: “Overall I really enjoyed my time with the Ford Capri…. a very competent car at a decent price.”
