COLOGNE, Germany – In case you weren’t aware, today is International Happiness Day so we’ve created this stunning gallery of Mach-E images that we hope will make you smile.
The photos were captured over the weekend by photographer Tom Egil Jensen at Tisleifjorden in Hallingdal, Norway, and they show both Mach-E Rally and Mach-E GT Bronze Edition in action on a frozen lake against a spectacular mountain backdrop.
Tisleifjorden is located 819 metres above sea level and in winter the ice covering the lake is about 80 cm thick and capable of carrying vehicles weighing up to 30 tons.
Ford Norway’s Anne Sønsteby said: “You need perfect conditions with cold weather, fresh and light snow to make the snow fly like it does in the photos. And with sun and blue sky, this combination does not happen too many days during the year.”
Norway is Ford’s biggest market for electric vehicles, and approximately 95 per cent of all passenger vehicles sold there are full electric. While the population in Norway is just under 5.5 million, the country accounts for approximately 20 per cent of all Mustang Mach-E models sold so far in Europe.
In 2012 the first ever UN conference on Happiness took place and the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution which decreed that the International Day of Happiness would be observed every year on 20 March. The theme for 2025 is Caring and Sharing.
