MADRID, Spain - Members of the Nuevo Rastro Madrid Traders Association and the Mercado de la Cebada in Spain will be able to continue to enjoy a 100 per cent electric commercial vehicle for another year, thanks to Ford Pro.
Following a highly successful pilot project in 2024, Ford Pro is extending its relationship with both organisations by providing them with a new E-Transit, the best-selling 2-ton electric van in Spain.
The all-electric commercial vehicle will be used to transport goods including antiques, books and food products as part of a project called Rastro Electricity by Ford that saw more than 30 businesses using E-Transit last year.
“At Ford Pro we have been leading the commercial vehicle sector for years, supporting both large companies and SMEs, which in Spain represent 99 per cent of the business fabric,” said Jesús Alonso, CEO and President of Ford Spain.
“Adapting our vehicles to their needs is fundamental, and that is why we are delighted to renew the Rastro Electricity initiative. With this project, we continue to promote sustainable mobility among SMEs in different sectors.”
