MADRID, Spain – Ford’s all-electric Capri is making headlines in the Spanish national media after it was officially revealed to journalists in Madrid this week.
Manufactured at Ford's state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle Center in Cologne, it combines the classic design and rebellious spirit of the original Capri with the cutting-edge technology of electric propulsion.

Speaking at the official media reveal in Spain, Geert van Noyen, head of Vehicle Dynamics, said: “Classic Capri didn't just look like a sports coupe - the fun to drive was a big part of its appeal. Replicating that sparkle from the driver's seat was really important to us when we developed the new all-electric Capri.”
Designed in Europe specifically for European drivers, the new Capri has been carefully tuned by Ford engineers in Cologne and at Ford's Lommel test track to deliver a sporty and precise driving experience. The suspension, steering and chassis have been tuned to capture the essence of the original Capri, with a low center of gravity that maximizes cornering stability.
Combining German engineering with American styling, it seats five in two rows and is fully equipped to take families on an adventure with an exceptional digital experience and driving dynamics tailored to European customers.
Features include the 14.6” SYNC Move mobile touchscreen and a fully connected infotainment system with a premium audio system, wireless app integration and advanced driver assistance technologies.

Capri offers an unmatched combination of sporty performance and family practicality. Available in two versions, single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) and twin-motor all-wheel drive (AWD), both equipped with an advanced Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) lithium-ion battery, Capri offers exceptional range and optimum performance even in Europe's most demanding weather conditions.
The Capri's fast-charging technology is as impressive as its engine. With charging power of up to 185 kW on the AWD model, a 10% to 80% charge4is completed in approximately 26 minutes. In addition, integration with the BlueOval Charging Network, which includes IONITY and Allego, allows drivers to access more than 800,000 charging points in Europe easily and securely via the FordPass app or Plug & Charge technology.
Capri not only recharges fast; it also accelerates with power. The AWD model reaches 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, beating even the Ford Performance Focus ST. Its towing capacity of up to 1,200 kg (AWD) adds even more versatility to this exceptionally refined vehicle.
