How Ford Brought a Family’s Dream Vacation Back on Track

The Abellos are back on the road, continuing their epic transcontinental road trip, thanks to the strength of Ford’s global network and the quick action of Ford distributor Arabian Car Marketing (ACM) in Oman.

Their dream trip – exploring Europe and the Middle East in their customised Ford Transit camper van – hit an unexpected setback in Oman’s expansive 12,500 square kilometre Sharqiya Desert. “Breaking down in such a remote location was a real shock,” said Sabine Abello. Their meticulously planned adventure and lifelong dream was suddenly in jeopardy.

The family reached out to ACM, the local Ford distributor in Oman. “We knew Ford was our best chance in finding the problem of our vehicle and we trusted the team to help us get back on the road,” she explained. Recognising time constraints and as a true example of teamwork across continents, the Ford team expedited shipping at no additional cost to the Abello’s family. They even went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed,” said Abello, highlighting the support and care they received.

With the new transmission delivered, the ACM technicians worked swiftly and expertly to complete the repair, keeping the family informed on their vehicle’s progress every step of the way. “Their communication and expertise made us feel reassured, knowing that we’re in good hands.”
