As hurricanes become more frequent and severe, disaster preparedness and recovery has never been more important. This September during National Preparedness Month, we’re not just raising awareness – we’re celebrating progress, including the great work of our Team Rubicon Powered by Ford initiative.

Our efforts have made a tangible difference in disaster preparedness and recovery efforts, thanks in large part to the unwavering support of the Ford Volunteer Corps. Our dedicated team of employees have helped our neighbors facing trying times rebuild their lives and communities.

A Year of Impact

We've seen a strong showing of support from our Ford volunteers. Whether working on the ground during operations or participating in vital projects behind the scenes, our employee volunteers have been the driving force behind our impact. Here’s a snapshot of their efforts over the past year:

  • 166 employees donated an estimated 2,100 hours of volunteer time
  • Our team engaged in 149 events and 83 unique deployments.
  • We helped support 35 service projects beyond disaster response

Nationwide Reach

The reach of Team Rubicon’s efforts has been nationwide. In addition to the hard work of the volunteers, Team Rubicon’s fleet of 17 Ford vehicles drove nearly 90,000 miles spanning 19 states, to deliver critical relief to communities in need. States included: California, Michigan, Texas, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Kansas, Virginia, Tennessee, Connecticut, Georgia, Nevada, Kentucky, Oregon, Washington, Illinois, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Florida.

As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible achievements and the spirit of service shown by everyone involved in the Team Rubicon Powered by Ford initiative. Together, we’ve made a real difference – one mile, one mission and one life at a time. To all the volunteers who have poured their hearts into this work: your dedication and hard work inspire us all. Here’s to another year of changing lives and building stronger communities, thanks to the power of your commitment.
