For 15 consecutive years, the Enactus 2024 National Competition has allowed Mexico's university students to present the results of their social businesses in front of a jury made up of entrepreneurs and executives who evaluate the degree of impact on communities and the sustainability of said business.
What is Enactus and why is it so important?
Enactus is a global organization present in 35 countries, dedicated to showcasing the talent of young entrepreneurs who seek to transform their communities in a sustainable way.
Ford's role in the event
For the last nine years, Ford has collaborated with Enactus to showcase the talent of young entrepreneurs who seek to transform and develop business models that address the economic, social and environmental challenges in the national territory of Mexico. This year, Rosangela Guerra, Director of Ford Puerto Rico, Central America and the Caribbean, was part of the jury "Challenges and Opportunities of Mexico 2024." She and the other judges analyzed the four finalist projects, and we are proud to announce that the Tasty Shrimp team from Universidad Tecmilenio, Campus Culiacán, was the winner. This project produces an ecological natural condiment from shrimp heads, promoting sustainable fishing and improving the conditions of fishing communities in northern Mexico.
