Ford BlueCruise for hands-free highway driving is now available for customers use in a total of 17 countries globally across Europe, the U.S. and Canada. Recently, BlueCruise was approved for use across 15 countries in Europe by the European Commission, joining Great Britain, Germany and Spain. Now, additional countries include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden.
In Europe, this unlocks access to more than 82,744 miles of designated highways across Europe, called Blue Zones, allowing customers to take a road trip across multiple countries. Imagine the possibilities for a customer who could use BlueCruise across six countries – from Sweden down south to Italy – almost 1,864 miles and 25+ hours spent driving hands-free.
BlueCruise has gained momentum globally over the last year. In 2023, when BlueCruise launched in Great Britain, became the first advanced driver assistance system that delivers true hands-free driving at highway speeds in Europe. Last year, Ford was the first automaker to receive approval in Spain and introduce hands-free highway driving, and BlueCruise also rolled out to customers in Germany.
