He started from the pole and led a trio of Mustangs with top-five finishes. -
Chris Buescher finished third and Ryan Blaney fifth. -
Although a non-points race, the win marks Ford and Mustang’s second straight Cup Series victory. -
The NASCAR Cup Series returns to points racing this weekend with one of its Crown Jewel events, the Coca-Cola 600 Sunday. -
Ford Mustang swept the weekend in Perth, Australia behind a Race 9 win from Chaz Mostert and Race 10 victory by Cam Waters in the Repco Supercars Championship. -
Mostert captured Ford’s first season victory from pole position in Race 9 with Waters finishing third to give Mustang two of the three podium spots. -
Waters capped the Ford weekend sweep, also from pole position in Race 10, with Mostert finishing second. -
Mustang took five of the top six spots in the event finale with Will Davison fourth and Thomas Randle rounding out the top five. -
After 10 races in the championship, Mostert is the top Ford in third, followed by Waters in fourth and Matthew Payne of Penrite Racing in fifth. -
The series resumes June 14-16 for the Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley Raceway. -
Layne Riggs equaled his career-best finish with a third-place effort in the rain-delayed NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at North Wilkesboro. -
Ty Majeski won Stage 1 and led 50 laps before finishing 11th. -
Jake Garcia led laps for the first time in his NCTS career, leading 40 circuits during the final stage before fading due to a tire going down, finishing 21st. -
The Truck Series continues Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. -
Bob Tasca III qualified second in Funny Car with a 3.913 at 329.91 mph and advanced to the second round of eliminations in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. -
He defeated Dave Richards in the first round with a 3.98 at 327.11 mph run but spun the tires against Blake Alexander in the second round. -
Daniel Wilkerson qualified eighth and advanced to the semifinals. -

Erik Evans and Marco Signoretti of Academy Motorsport finished a Ford-best seventh in class in Sunday’s GT4 European Series event finale in Misano, Italy, with Matt Nicoll-Jones and Will Moore eighth. -
Evans and Signoretti scored a top-10 in the Silver class, while Nicoll-Jones and Moore finished 12th in Saturday’s event opener. -
The third round of series action is set for June 27-30 at Spa-Francorchamps, as a part of the 24 Hours of Spa weekend.
