Bronco Owners Invited to Exclusive Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Event

Ford is inviting Bronco and Bronco Sport owners to view the upcoming total solar eclipse at the company’s Bronco Off-Roadeo location near Austin, Texas.

The Texas location where Ford teaches new Bronco and Bronco Sport customers how to make the most of their exciting new vehicles is reportedly also situated in one of the best regions to observe the upcoming total solar eclipse – and Ford is inviting customers to bring their SUVs on April 8 to enjoy the phenomenon.

The duration of the eclipse is expected to last approximately 4 minutes 13 seconds at the Bronco Off-Roadeo site just outside of Austin, Texas, among the longest times in the U.S., according to USA Today.

Everyone attending the Bronco Off-Roadeo total solar eclipse viewing party will also experience the debut of the new Bronco Raptor Blackout Package following the eclipse. Bronco Off-Roadeo is a one-day owner experience included with the purchase of all Bronco, Bronco Sport, and Bronco Raptor models. It includes exciting and challenging trails, a team of expert trail guides, and plenty of fun while learning how to get the most out of your Bronco. A Half-Day Adventure is also available to the public as a four-hour paid off-road quest with trail guide instruction.

Bronco Off-Roadeo welcomes participants of all skill levels. In addition to Austin, Texas, Off-Roadeo locations are also located in Las Vegas, Moab, Utah and New Hampshire.

  • Bronco and Bronco Sport customers can sign up for a limited availability, special viewing opportunity to experience the total solar eclipse on April 8 at Bronco Off-Roadeo, as the eclipse passes over Texas. Pricing is per vehicle for one to four people.
  • The two-night camping experience costs $1,995, including five meals. There will be 60 spots, available on a first-come, first-served basis, for guided Bronco Off-Roadeo trail drives in the first-ever “Bring Your Own Bronco” trail experience.
  • The two-night camping experience is designed to help customers better avoid traffic in the area the day before and day of the eclipse. Customers are responsible for bringing their own camping shelter and sleeping accommodations. The day of adventure costs $595 per vehicle for up to four people and includes two meals.
  • A waitlist will be created for both the camping and day-of watch opportunities for customers who aren’t able to sign up if the event sells out. Customers can also receive a full refund of their two-night camping or day-of reservation up to two weeks before the eclipse. No refund will be offered after that, due to the meal and restroom infrastructure this unique event will offer.
