A trailer has been released for ‘The Road to the Ring’ documentary about the Ford Mustang GTD team’s quest to make Ford the first American automaker to record a sub-seven-minute lap at the legendary course at Nürburgring Nordschleife. 

Ford is challenging the world’s best by taking the new Mustang GTD, the most advanced and audacious Mustang ever, to one of the world’s most challenging tracks – Germany’s fearsome Nürburgring Nordschleife. The company is documenting its attempt to become the first American automaker to record a sub-seven-minute lap on the legendary circuit known as “The Green Hell.” A trailer for “The Road to the Ring” film, which you can watch above, previews the daunting challenge that awaits Ford as it attempts to join an elite group of automakers.
