The media test drive event hosted by Ford Korea, titled ‘2025 Explorer Media Drive Experience’, concluded with great success on December 3 to 5. This event was organized to provide the media with an opportunity to experience firsthand the innovative design and performance of ‘The New Ford Explorer’ officially launched on November in Korea. About 60 automotive journalists participated in the event, enjoying a vibrant atmosphere as they personally drove and evaluated the car.

The New Ford Explorer features an all-wheel-drive platform, a 2.3L EcoBoostÒ engine, and a 10-speed automatic transmission, boasting optimal driving performance with adapting to the domestic road environment wherever, and the ever-changing weather conditions throughout the four seasons in Korea.

This model stands out particularly for its diverse trim options. In addition to the existing Platinum trim, Ford Korea has introduced the sporty ST-Line trim for the first time, offering consumers a wider range of choices. During the test drive event, Ford Korea provided both trims for participants enabling journalists to compare the differences between the two trims of The New Ford Explorer.

The test drive route was designed as a one-way course of approximately 65 km, starting from Gangnam, Seoul, and ending at the destination in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. Participants drove the same route round trip. Ford Korea assigned two participants per vehicle and arranged for driver swaps at the destination to ensure that everyone had the chance to drive the car. Most participants, after personally driving The New Ford Explorer, praised it as an excellent vehicle that lives up to its reputation in the imported full-size SUV market.

Participants particularly noted the design updates of The New Ford Explorer, with a strong focus on the sporty appeal of the ST-Line. Some journalists observed that the interior and exterior design of the ST-Line breaks away from the traditional family car image, incorporating elements aimed at attracting younger customers. Journalists who highlighted the advanced safety features equipped in The New Ford Explorer recorded demonstrations of these features and shared the videos through their respective media channels.

Following the event, many articles and social media posts were generated. In addition to the design and safety features of The New Ford Explorer, aspects such as ride comfort, driving performance, and convenience features received positive reviews. Ford Korea emphasized the significance of gathering diverse media feedback during the event, and further emphasized their commitment to continuing to expose Explorer-related content across various channels, to provide customers with opportunities to experience the vehicle indirectly.
