Ford South Africa launched into November with an inspiring health-focused event at our Silverton Production Plant, the Ranger Dash, a 5km Fun Run/Walk aimed at raising awareness for breast and prostate cancer. The November 1st event turned the plant into a sea of pink and light blue, with employees donning colours that represent hope and unity for those affected by these cancers.

The event kicked off at 8:00 am with the HR team leading the charge, transforming a regular down day into a powerful and memorable experience. Whether our colleagues were avid runners or casual walkers, everyone came together to wind their way around our world-class facility. This unique route showcased the plant like never before, giving each participant a new perspective on our production space while symbolising the strength and resilience of the Ford team and the causes we support.

The atmosphere was electric, with team members rallying together to spotlight the importance of early detection and support for those impacted by breast and prostate cancer. This event was more than just a fun run—it was a chance for us to come together, champion a meaningful cause, and fill our plant with purpose and solidarity.

This special event brought together both manufacturing and non-manufacturing teams, creating a unique opportunity for everyone across the plant to connect, support health awareness, and enjoy the Ranger Dash together.
