Ford and Lincoln Models Win Multiple Awards

Recently, the all-new Lincoln Nautilus clinched the prestigious 2025 SUV of the Year award from globally renowned automotive outlet MotorTrend, marking the first time ever that a China-made model has won this award since its inception.

Each year, this award recognizes the best vehicle from over 2,000 models worldwide. Representing the highest honors in design, innovation, performance, and quality, it’s one of the most coveted awards across the entire automotive industry.

In addition, the new Lincoln Nautilus has also racked up 32 honors both domestically and internationally.

At the Guangzhou Auto Show, the new Lincoln Aviator garnered significant attention, earning five awards from various media outlets such as National Business Daily and 30s Che. Additionally, the all-new Lincoln Navigator was honored with NetEase's Global Pioneer Design and Aesthetic Excellence Award.

In late October, the China Association for Quality announced the results of this year’s China Automotive Industry Customer Satisfaction Index (CACSI) in Beijing, with the Ford Mondeo topping the list for "User Satisfaction in Mid-Size Cars 200,000 RMB and Under” thanks to the vehicle’s exceptional quality and performance.

Incidentally, Changan Ford’s high-performance FHEV 2.0T EcoBoost® once again was recognized in 2024 Top 10 Engines and Hybrid Systems. This honor, considered one of the top three engine recognitions in the world, spotlights engines that deliver an optimal balance of vehicle power, fuel efficiency, and driving performance.

The good news just keeps coming in! On Oct. 31, global consumer insights and market research firm J.D. Power released its 2024 China Vehicle Dependability Study℠ (VDS) report. The Ford Focus, Mondeo, and Edge/Edge L ranked first in reliability in the mid-size sedan, mid-size premium sedan, and large SUV categories, respectively. Click here for the full release.

Among them, the Ford Edge/Edge L stood out with an impressive score of 94 PP100, making it the only model with a PP100 (problems per 100 vehicles) score below 100 across all 20 categories.

At the brand level, Ford ranked third among all mainstream brands with a score of 174 PP100, highlighting Ford’s strong reliability across its product lineup.

This report, based on feedback from over 33,000 real car owners who have had their vehicles for 13 to 48 months, analyzed 44 brands and nearly 230 models, focusing on vehicle issues encountered in the past six months across nine categories and 177 vehicle quality points. Overall reliability is measured by the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), with lower scores indicating higher quality.

On Nov. 14, Ford Explorer won the 2024 China Automotive Quality Award – Model Award (Mid-Large SUV) for its exceptional product quality and market performance. This honor  highlights the Changan Ford Explorer’s leading position in the SUV market while also reflecting the ongoing advancements of Chinese automotive brands in product quality and service.
