Raves
“The 2025 Expedition … (is) more capable and functional than ever. It also gets more bells and whistles, with a split tailgate, a 24-inch panoramic multi-information display, a locking center console and a 40/20/40 split-folding third row standing out among the new features.” – U.S. News & World Report
“Ford has been a tech pioneer from infotainment software to onboard power systems for work sites. Expedition continues that tradition with an innovative, 24-inch screen below the windshield — and above the steering wheel — designed to keep the driver’s eyes on the road ... .” – The Detroit News
“The Expedition ups the tailgating ante with the segment’s first split gate. ... The tailgate serves as a giant lip to keep items from rolling out, and … this design increases rear cargo room.” – MotorTrend
“Inside, the Expedition benefits from a massive rework. Gone is the F-150 inspiration, replaced by a much more expressive interior.” – Road & Track
“As for what’s under the hood of the 2025 Ford Expedition, you’ll find a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 in two different output levels: a lot, and even more.” – The Autopian
“Ford makes sure the new Expedition Tremor gets the high-(powered) engine as standard, and there’s plenty else to ogle over.” – The Drive
Rants
“(The 24-inch panoramic display) setup makes it easier for the driver to see and use the screens, but it still makes you wonder whether that much screen is really needed.” – U.S. News & World Report
“Check a box for the Ford Connectivity Package and you’ll get a WiFi hotspot, access to Google Play apps, and built-in Google Maps. That’s available as a one-time purchase upon order or as an annual subscription following a one-year trial. (Yes, really.)” – The Drive
“The 2025 Ford Expedition isn’t revolutionary. It doesn’t have the slow-breathing V8s of a Chevrolet Tahoe, the hybrid power of the Toyota Sequoia, or the sheer number of gadgets the Jeep Wagoneer and new Nissan Armada boast.” – The Autopian
“Ford said the 2025 Expedition will start around $63,000 … . That’s more than $5,000 higher than the 2024 model, but still less than the $70,000 average transaction price of current vehicles.” – CNBC
“The wraparound LEDs serve as the new identifier on the Expedition, though we’re still not sold on the change.” – Road & Track
“If you want a long-wheelbase Expedition Max Tremor, you’re out of luck: Tremor is locked behind the standard wheelbase Expedition.” – Autoweek
