DUNTON, UK – All Ford Mustangs turn heads, but this example really does stand out from the crowd. It’s called Thrill Horse, and it has been created to celebrate Mustang’s 60th anniversary.

Revealed for the first time on Sunday at a special Mustang event at Escapade Silverstone - Silverstone circuit’s brand-new trackside restaurant and hotel – Thrill Horse is the result of a collaboration between international art factory Haus of Thrills and Ford.

Ford’s Zining Zhang explains: “As part of the ongoing celebration for Mustang's 60th anniversary, Ford UK has worked with Kyle Wilkinson from Haus of Thrills to design a unique livery for the Mustang V8. This special edition concept captures the engine sounds of six Mustangs from different decades in the past 60 years, transforming their sounds into audio waveforms, representing each car’s unique audio signature. The idea is to let the Mustangs speak for themselves, showcasing their individuality through their iconic engine sounds.”

Zining adds: “In collaboration with the UK Mustang Owners Club, we invited over a dozen Mustang owners to our Heritage and Innovation Centre at Daventry with their cars. During their visit, the Haus of Thrills team recorded the engine sounds of their Mustangs, and they were also given a tour of our Heritage Centre.”

Check out this video that explains the design concept in detail and provides a glimpse into the entire creative process.

Kyle Wilkinson is the artist behind the art car. He said: “As a lifelong lover of Mustangs, to have the honour of designing the 60th Mustang for Ford is a definite career highlight, and something that will always be a special release from Haus of Thrills.”

Renata Fernandes, art director of Escapade Silverstone, said: “This Mustang is the first of many art cars we will be creating and unveiling at Escapade Silverstone. The art cars are part of a year-long art programme aiming to bring together artists and automotive brands.”
