Here’s what some of the volunteers had to say.
Balazs Hernadi - FCSD Variable Marketing Supervisor: “As the Danube River flooded in Hungary, my team was one of the first to volunteer, putting corporate social responsibility into action by working together with the community to provide help and support. Together, we worked side by side with the authorities and other volunteers to deliver aid and support, proving that we're more than just a company - we're a part of the fabric of the community, dedicated to helping those in need. Special thanks to every single person who rolled up their sleeves and joined the fight against the flood.”
Szilvia Balint - Owner Information Manager, Kinga Richter-Nagykaldi - Owner Information Trainer Coordinator, Brigitta Borbiro - Owner Information Coordinator: “It was a wonderful experience to help others. We prepared a little restaurant for the upcoming flood by putting sandbags around it. The owners were really grateful and in the end the building was saved – the water did not enter inside. The restaurant employees offered us food and soft drinks while we were working. It was nice to see lots of people coming together from different ages and backgrounds. It was uplifting – not only we helped but also did some exercise while we enjoyed the beautiful weather and sunshine.”
Tamas Verebes, Adam Berta – European Direct Markets Team: “Not quite two weeks ago, we participated in flood defense efforts in Dunabogdány. For two days we worked shoulder to shoulder with soldiers and police officers, filling sandbags to reinforce the dikes. This not only allowed us to help the local residents but also strengthened our own team: our managers joined us, making the shared work a great team-building opportunity. Experiencing the power of collaboration, we had a real community experience while contributing to the protection of the village.”
