Ford is lowering the annual and monthly prices for its BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology for all Canadian customers with equipped vehicles. The company is also simplifying how new vehicle owners access the feature while continuing to offer flexible options.
Activation, Flexibility, and Pricing Details
BlueCruise activation will be even simpler, with both a one-year plan and a one-time purchase option. The one-year plan will be either standard or optional, depending on the vehicle and trim level. Ford customers can choose to upgrade to a one-time purchase and won’t need to activate BlueCruise again on their vehicle.
Additionally, Ford will continue to offer a 90-day complimentary trial to customers who don't select a one-year plan (if not included standard) or the one-time purchase when they order their vehicle. Customers can experience hands-free driving for 90 days and then have the flexibility to activate the annual or monthly plan at the end of the trial based on their needs. For example, a customer could activate BlueCruise for a monthlong road trip and not activate it again for a year or could choose to activate it only during the holiday season when they travel most.
“BlueCruise availability expands across 2025 model-year vehicles and trims to give more customers who want an electric, hybrid, or gas-powered Ford vehicle access to hands-free highway driving,” said Akbar Sheikh, connected vehicle marketing manager, Ford of Canada. “In Canada, BlueCruise is now available on a number of vehicles across our Ford lineup, including Explorer, Expedition, F-150, F-150 Lightning, and Mustang Mach-E.”
