COLOGNE, Germany – It’s an American icon that’s now on sale in Norway and Switzerland, but Ford’s all-electric F-150 Lightning needs some subtle market-specific tweaks before it can turn a wheel on European roads.
This teaser video introduces some of the Cologne-based team tasked with modifying the zero-emission pickups so they can use Europe’s charging network. Each vehicle must undergo a complex conversion in Cologne, and @Ford will be documenting the process in detail over the coming weeks.
In the meantime, a big thanks to the whole team – Matthias Tonn, Frank Schomer, Andreas Deidewig, Marc Rampling, Peter Linnemann, Nadine Ferrone, Ralf Leger, Cathrin Schneider – and all the very skilled manufacturing colleagues in Cologne who are making dreams come true for F-150 fans in Europe.
