Picturing what your future car will look and be like can be a complicated task for some people. However, for girls and their imagination, this question makes them challenge the status quo. The importance of involving and promoting activities like this one at an early age is vital because only in Mexico, 28% of boys are interested in studying a career focused on science or engineering when they are young whilst within girls, this percentage reaches only 9%, according to a study by Movimiento STEM. This month we celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. For this reason, we share with you three drawings made by students at our Ford Schools that define new scenarios they would like to live with their vehicles in a few years. These great artists and future professionals are Amanda Bautista from Ford School 29, Layla Aurora from Ford School 58 and Merari Ochoa from Ford School 171. We hope that the dreams of these and more girls around Mexico and the world will encourage those women already in the STEM workforce to support the future integration of these new generations.
