DEARBORN, MI., November 29, 2023 – Today, Ford and Sydney Sweeney, in collaboration with Dickies, launch a new workwear line. The collection is inspired by Sweeney's experiences growing up in a family of mechanics and her 1965 Mustang, affectionately named “Britney,” after the original color, “Brittany Blue.”
“For Sydney, it meant embracing a new hobby to restore the vehicle of her dreams, and designing a clothing line that makes women feel comfortable and empowered to do the same,” says Erica Martin, Ford Marketing Communications Manager
The new workwear line, which blends style with functionality, includes: denim coveralls, a racing jacket, a corduroy hat, a t-shirt and a keychain, all manufactured by Dickies.

To showcase the collection, Ford enlists the help of female auto-restoration enthusiasts Adri Law, Gelica Peralta, Sandy Rancatore, Isabelle Rosa, and Lauren Fox. They will appear in an online lookbook modeling the apparel, which will be available for purchase at merchandise.ford.com.
The lookbook will also provide step-by-step instructions for basic vehicle maintenance, changing a car battery and checking tire pressure, brake fluid, and oil.
“I was so thrilled that Ford wanted to use auto enthusiasts to model the clothing and create content that teaches people how to do basic maintenance tasks on their vehicles,” Sweeney said. “Being able to take my car into my own hands has been so empowering for me – and I hope this can inspire others who may have never considered working on their vehicle themselves to give it a try.”
As part of the workwear launch, Ford is offering an exclusive first glimpse of Sweeney's baby blue vintage Mustang. Sweeney will also share her restoration plans and demonstrate a tune-up from the garage.

Off-road, hands-on | New Bronco Off-Roadeo offering expands access
Earlier this month, Sweeney joined Ford in announcing that the Bronco Off-Roadeo is now open to the general public. Sweeney attended the Bronco Off-Roadeo Half Day Adventure in Moab, and her epic adventure was shared with fans via social content on Ford’s Instagram and Sydney’s TikTok channel.

Sweeney grew up in a family of mechanics in Spokane, Wash., and learned to drive on her grandfather’s Ford F-100. During the pandemic, she documented her restoration of a 1969 Ford Bronco on her TikTok channel, @Syd’s_Garage, garnering over 7M likes.
In addition to her Ford x Sydney Sweeney exclusive workwear collection, Sweeney launched an Auto 101 series this past march to help teach viewers how to check their vehicle tire pressure, jump a dead battery, and other aspects of vehicle maintenance. The series aims to inspire women to feel more comfortable working on their vehicles.
