Chad Green gave Mustang its 12th Funny Car victory of the season, beating fellow Mustang driver Tim Wilkerson in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series finals.

Bob Tasca III’s championship bid ended when he smoked the tires early in his run and lost in the quarterfinals at Pomona (California). -
Tasca, who qualified sixth, finished the season third in the championship standings behind Matt Hagan (first) and Robert Hight (second). -
Green and Blake Alexander, also in a Mustang, each knocked out the other two championship contenders in the quarterfinals, besting Hight and Hagan, respectively. -
Gareth Woolridge and Boyd Dreyer claimed the overall South African Rally-Raid Championship Production Vehicle and Class FIAT1+ championship titles with a victory at the final round. -
Lance Woolridge and Kenny Gilbert brought their NWM Ford Castrol T1+ Ranger home in second overall to score a perfect result for the team. -
The NWM Ford Castrol team earned the Manufacturers Award with the one-two finish. -
History was made with the first overall South African championship title in 17 years for the NWM Ford team – the last being Neil Woolridge and Kenny Skjoldhammer in 2006. -
It also marked the first time a father and son have both been crowned overall SA champions in the series. -
Also, Ford Performance is set to enter and compete in the 56th SCORE Baja 1000, one of the most grueling off-road races on the planet, with two of its most capable stock-based race vehicles – Bronco Raptor and F-150 Raptor R.
