MADRID, Spain – Ford Spain colleagues put Care for Each Other into Practice during Global Caring Month by volunteering their time to support the Apascovi Foundation – a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping people with disabilities and their families.
It’s the 17th year Ford volunteers have worked at Apascovi’s occupation centre, and this time they helped construct a pergola and carried out engineering work. Watch the video to see them in action.
Carlos Antón Serrano, manager of Fundación Apascovi, said: “Ford Spain volunteers have come to help in different tasks, this time, to improve the infrastructure of this occupational center. We have had a group of workers make a wooden pergola so that our residents can wait for the bus in the shade or not get wet on rainy days. Another group is making concrete and building an access ramp to the orchard and others are carrying out carpentry or gardening tasks. We are, as every year, infinitely grateful to Ford and the volunteers.”
