As we work to build a better world, investing in educational institutions and students will always be the right decision. In recognition that education is a fundamental right, Ford of Mexico is committed to make it as fair and equitable as possible, while also meeting the needs of each student. This pledge translates into the donation of 300 computers by the Ford Civic Committee and its dealers to Ford schools this year, which will significantly impact the quality of the education in 13 elementary schools.
In Mexico, public elementary schools amass 90% of the national enrollment, whilst only 43.1% of them have computers according to a 2019 report from the National Institute for the Evaluation of Education (INEE for its acronym in Spanish); which widens the digital gap in the country. The commitment of Ford of Mexico to Mexican students for more than 56 years with its "Educación en Movimiento" educational program is a reality, and it will continue to be possible with everyone's contribution.
